About Cindy
Cindy Leyland has been a professional make up artist for over 10 years. After graduating with honors from Blanche MacDonald Institute she was immediately immersed in the industry with a position with Make Up Forever; quickly working her way up from part time artist to Manager. In 2001, She caught the attention of a local entrepreneur and was approached to be the manager and buyer for a new and original beauty boutique called BeautyMark located in Vancouver. After 2 years with BeautyMark she decided to create a new cosmetics company of her own called Common Beauty.
Cindy's busy schedule is rounded out by her many freelance projects, ranging from photo shoots for fashion and cosmetics companies to weddings of all sizes. Her years of beauty product knowledge and retail experience are called upon frequently by the media as an industry expert. She has appeared on TV programs and in publications such as Urban Rush, MTV Razer (now rebranded as MTV2), The Shopping Bags, Fashion Magazine, Loulou, Flare and Wedluxe as well as many local newspapers and radio features.
